About this deal

Soju is usually consumed straight but the fruity flavoured ones make amazing mixed drinks when combined with yogurt drinks, like calpico or yakult, or when blended with fruits to make slushies. What is calpico? This is why soju appeals to nearly every legal age drinker out there, from the beginners to the heavy drinkers and people in between!

Watermelons and summer go together, and watermelon-flavored Soju might be our favorite summer drink due to its juicy and sweet taste. When natural watermelon flavor gets introduced and blended with natural Soju, you end up with a refreshing drink that’s bound to get any party started! Imagine the Blue Hawaiian , but with a touch of regal swagger. This is the Soju Royal Hawaiian. In a shaker filled with ice, combine 60ml of soju, 30ml of pineapple juice, 15ml of orange juice, and 15ml of coconut cream. Shake well and strain into a glass. Garnish with a pineapple slice and a cherry. 18. Soju Sour

Keen to clink a drink that tastes like a walk in an orange orchard first thing in the dew-dappled morning? Pour a Soju Citrus! In a glass, combine 60ml of soju, 30ml of orange juice, 30ml of grapefruit juice, and 15ml of lemon juice. Add ice and stir gently. Garnish with a citrus slice. The social aspect of soju also plays a significant role in its popularity. In Korean culture, soju is often enjoyed with friends and family, creating a social atmosphere, and fostering connections. The tradition of “pouring for others” adds a communal and interactive element to the drinking experience, making the spirit an integral part of gatherings and celebrations. If you aren’t too impressed with sweet drinks, this one’s a great option. It’s not as harsh as its citrus counterpart, but it’s also less sweet than the other selections on our list.

Note: In English, you may see this dish spelled either ‘bingsu’ or ‘bingsoo.’ Both English spellings mean exactly the same thing when referring to this Korean dish. And if you have more ginger than you know what to do with, how about making this lemon cucumber ginger infused water? EquipmentOf course, the main part of any variety of soju is still the alcohol, so there’s a definite boozy taste underneath the fruity top notes. Finally, top your bingsu with sliced fresh strawberries and strawberry ice cream. I always pour a little more strawberry puree at the end to make it pretty. If a Cucumber Martini hits all the right notes, it’s time to whip up a Cucumber-Soju Cooler, bestie. In a shaker, muddle a few cucumber slices with 30ml of simple syrup. Add ice, 60ml of soju, and the juice of 1/2 a lime. Shake well and strain into a glass filled with ice. Garnish with a cucumber slice. 16. The Seoul Mule

Are you ready for spring fruit to come into season? Strawberries taste best when the weather warms and flowers bloom. During that season, I enjoy this delicious berry to the fullest by adding it to baked goods, sweet desserts, salads, and more! One of my favorite uses is adding strawberries to alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. Sparkling water: You can use Sprite or 7-Up instead for a sweeter drink or omit altogether if you don't want bubbles. Apple-flavored Soju captures the essence of apples and maintains the smell and taste of the fruit naturally. Suppose you’re new to the world of Soju, this is a highly recommended flavor to start your journey because of its pleasantly light and sweet apple flavor.Along that same line, you can use unsweetened or sweetened and flavored soju. I like using plain here, though grapefruit soju sounds like it could be really tasty since there’s already citrus-y vibes. Do you ever crave desserts containing strawberries? To me, there is nothing better than the tart, sweet, and fruity flavor of a luscious ripe strawberry. Korean strawberry shaved ice combines the flavors of fresh strawberries, decadent strawberry puree, creamy strawberry ice cream, and snow-like shaved ice. While most people dunk the ice cream bar into the soju mix and enjoy it as is, we feel blending the bar with the spirit offers a creamier consistency, almost like a daiquiri. The first fruit-flavored Soju was tangerine-flavored, or as it is known in its homeland, Yuja flavor. It is believed that this flavor inspired the fruit flavor wave in the soju world. Yuja, also known as yuzu ( Citrus junos), is a sour or tart citrus fruit, and the drink carries the same characteristics. Why not organise a night with your friends, try and get your hands on as many of these flavored bottles as you can, to do your own taste test? While you are at it, make sure to play some of these Korean drinking games!

However, as a drink, soju’s varying alcohol content and flavors make this drink very appealing to nearly every drinker out there. In addition, strawberry soju is flexible enough to be used as the base for slushies and smoothies, making it an ideal choice for refreshing summertime drinks. 5. Watermelon

Easy soju cocktails to make at home

Let’s venture off the beaten path to put an East Asian spin on the 007 classics. In a shaker filled with ice, combine 60ml of soju, 30ml of Cinzano Vermouth Bianco , and a dash of orange bitters. Shake well and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a lemon twist or an olive.
